This 9 month training course is ideal for those new to and moving into project control. It provides a formal qualification in project control evidencing a full understanding of the project control environment.
Learners are taught through a series of modules, each of which consists of: a virtual classroom workshop that includes theory and practical exercises; a topic specific assignment; and a team assignment based on a simulated engineering project.

Topics include: the fundamentals of project management; project initiation; risk and change management; estimating and scope definition; procurement; document control; planning and scheduling; work breakdown structures and cost control; progress monitoring and forecasting; and jobsite management.
As part of each module the learners undertake an assignment in which they apply the skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom in the context of an industrial simulation – either an engineering construction or a nuclear based simulated project. This brings the learning to life and reinforces how to apply the skills.
We have combined two of our most popular ECITB Project Controls courses into a bundle package; Introduction to Project Controls and Certificate in Project Controls.
