Great news for the Project Management profession as the APM receives its Royal Charter

20|20 is delighted to announce that The Association for Project Management (APM) has received its Royal Charter, representing a significant milestone in the development of project management as a profession. The Charter provides recognition for the profession and for individuals – with the development of the register of Chartered Project Professionals (ChPP) as a central pillar in raising standards of project, programme and portfolio delivery.

The Chartered award is great recognition for a relatively new profession which now makes such a significant contribution to social and economic wellbeing.

Tony Marks, CEO at 20|20: “This is a milestone in the recognition of project management as a profession in the UK market and we expect to see significant growth in project professionals seeking APM qualifications at all levels – from Project Fundamentals (previously the Introductory Certificate) through to the Project Management Qualification (previously the APM Professional) and on to Chartered Project Professional (ChPP). Enquiries are already up since the announcement and the flexibility of undertaking qualifications on-line, in the classroom, or through blended learning provide individuals and corporates with a flexible model for raising individual and corporate standards. Whilst a lot of our Corporate Clients are already engaged in widespread programmes to improve project management skills, we see this as an opportunity for experienced project managers to gain the personal recognition they deserve.”
