Can I switch between Classroom, Virtual and Online course delivery methods?

How do I apply for dispensations/adjustments for my APM examination?
APM is committed to promoting a positive attitude towards people with learning and physical needs. It has a great deal of experience in facilitating individual requirements and tailoring adjustments with the aim of removing any unfair disadvantage that the individual may encounter as a consequence of his or her medical/personal condition. Please contact us directly for further guidance.

When does the 6 months access start for the online learning courses?
Access will be granted immediately at the time of booking. This is when your time will start for online courses.

Can my eLearning access be extended?
Your access to eLearning has been purchased for a set period of time. Requests to extend will be taken on a case by case basis. There is likely to be a charge for this.

I am ex-military and have ELCAS funding, can I use this to book training?
Yes, we do offer ELCAS funded courses. Please contact our business development team for further information and to discuss your requirements.

Course Bookings & Payment

Can I pay course fees in instalments?
Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans at present. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about course fees. 

How can I make payment for a course?
You can pay by card or invoice. If you opt for the invoice option, we will please need a copy of a purchase order.

Can I get a receipt once I have paid online?
Yes, if you would like a receipt you can request one from our team.

APM Courses

Are the exams included within the APM PFQ and APM PMQ Bundle Packages?
Yes, both online exams are included.

I would like to bundle buy other courses, can I do this?
Yes, of course. We are happy to create a bespoke bundle package for you based on your requirements. Please contact us to discuss this further. 

Do I have to start with the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)?
No, the qualifications offer structured progression, however, you should start at a level appropriate to your needs and experience.

What is the right APM qualification for me?

How long does the online APM PFQ course take to complete?
We would advise the course takes approximately 25 hours to complete however this is an average and it will very much depend on the individual and other commitments/learning style for example.

How long does the online APM PMQ course take to complete?
We would advise the course takes approximately 35 hours to complete however this is an average and it will very much depend on the individual and other commitments/learning style for example.

Exam Queries


Can I move my exam?

Depending on the course, you may be able to reschedule your exam for a fee.

How can I fit in the necessary revision for the exam?
We offer dedicated exam preparation sessions to help you create a revision plan, and we'll provide guidance and support throughout the process. You may also want to speak with your employer to see if you have access to any study days.

What can I expect from an online APM examination?
The exam is taken remotely and involves recording your webcam, mobile phone camera, and laptop screen. The entire process is fluent and runs smoothly. For more information, click here.

How do I book my exam?
We can book your exam for any date and time suitable for you. We recommend exams are take during office hours on Monday-Fridays. Booking outside of these times means there wouldn't be any technical support available from APM or 20/20 should any issues arise with the exam. We are required to provide APM with 5 days' of notice of any exam booking. 

Is there a certain time I need to do the exam by?
Your exam date is included within your booking, it will usually be the end date of the course. If you have any queries about this, please contact the customer services team.

How do I access the additional study resources?
You will have received a welcome email from our customer services team with all the information you need to access our fantastic online portal, where all study resources are available along with our full e-Learning suite.

Are there any sample papers that I can do?
The APM provide one sample paper. It can be found in the green box under supporting resources here.

Where do I get my exam link and key code from?
To sit your exam, you will be provided with a link directly from the APM e-assessment@apm.org.uk to the email address used to register for your exam. The link will be sent to you 3 days prior to the exam date. The key code will be available to you once you have completed all the pre-exam checks on the day of your exam.

What can I have on my desk when taking the exam?
You must have a clear desk. A bottle of water and a blank sheet of paper and pen are allowed. These must be shown to the invigilator prior to starting the exam. 

How long does it take to get my exam results?
Notification of your results will be provided within:
  • Fundamentals qualification: 5 working days
  • Management qualification: 8 weeks
  • Professional qualification: 10 weeks
  • Risk Certificate Level 1: 5 working days
  • Risk Certificate Level 2: 10 weeks

What happens if I need to resit my exam?
With plenty of preparation and study, we hope that this will not be needed. We understand however, that not everything always goes to plan. Should you need to take your exam again, you will be required to pay for a resit exam. You will then be able to re-take the test at a time that suits you.

ECITB Courses


Why do I need to add a photograph to my Registration Form (PAM048)?

You are required to complete all sections on the first page and the second section on following page. This is to ensure that you can be registered with the ECITB. Without this information we are unable to register you for the course.

How do I get my certificate?
Your certificate will be sent to you via email from our Customer Services Team once you have completed all the relevant course work and class work.
