This programme is a comprehensive programme covering all aspects of project controls. The programme utilises an industrial case study so that learners can begin to apply the learning in a structured way as part of the assessment process.
The programme is delivered using a blended approach, which includes distance learning via a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), a series of face-to-face workshops, and on-line tutor support. The programme consists of 8 modules spread over a 9 month period. The programme will require learners to submit project-specific documentation as deliverables for assessment throughout the simulation project which supports the programme.
The final outcome of the course will be a Project Execution Plan that contains all of the relevant documentation from the simulation project and addresses the detail of the project such as document control, change control and progress measurements. It is expected that this portfolio will be presented to employers at the end of the programme.
