This programme is a comprehensive programme covering all aspects of project controls. The programme utilises an industrial case study so that learners can begin to apply the learning in a structured way as part of the assessment process.
The programme is delivered using a blended approach, which includes distance learning via a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), a series of face-to-face workshops, and on-line tutor support. The programme consists of 8 modules spread over a 9 month period. The programme will require learners to submit project-specific documentation as deliverables for assessment throughout the simulation project which supports the programme.
The final outcome of the course will be a Project Execution Plan that contains all of the relevant documentation from the simulation project and addresses the detail of the project such as document control, change control and progress measurements. It is expected that this portfolio will be presented to employers at the end of the programme.
Course Delivery Options:
1) CLASSROOM- 9-month programme with a blended learning approach. The classroom course includes 8 modules that contain the core learning material and assessments & 1 PEP presentation to employers at the end of the course (please note, classroom courses are currently suspended until September 2020).

This programme is designed for those recent to project controls, or for those who wish to undertake a formal project controls qualification to evidence their full understanding of all aspects of project controls.
Here is a small snapshot of feedback from delegates from this course:
Andrew Baker, who has been in the Project Controls department of Saipem for 20 years said: ‘I found the course broadened my understanding of the whole process of project controls. As part of the assignment’s we had to speak with different people across the company. I found it refreshing that not only would project managers took the time to explain how they do things but they wanted to impart their knowledge’.
The 20/20 tutor said: ‘It’s been great to watch the students develop over the 9 months. They are now aware of how the other department’s information has an effect on their work and conversely how the information they produce impacts the other departments’.
Kelly Brook from Mustang Engineering said: ‘Doing this course has given me confidence and has provided me with further understanding of the career path in project controls.’
