The APM will be rebranding their suite of qualifications over the next few months. Following the recently launched APM Project Professional Qualification(PPQ) the APM are completing the transition to help show a clear progression for professionals looking to develop their career.
The previously known APM Introductory Certificate will become:
APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
Other than the name, the qualification content and learning outcomes remain exactly the same. APM PFQ will still be equivalent to SCQF Level 6.
APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) offers a fundamental awareness of project management terminology and is ideal for those wishing to gain a broad understanding of the principles of the profession.
No previous knowledge or experience in project management is required for this qualification, which covers knowledge areas from the APM Body of Knowledge 6th edition.
APM PFQ will help individuals recognise the key aspects of a project and the importance of their role within it. The objectives will be supported and extended by engaging the delegates with an appropriate case study, providing the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the tools and techniques through use and experience.
